Dr. Sandeep Gupta is an accomplished Urologist, andrologist & renal transplant surgeon who he has been associated with Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur since 2011. His has also worked with Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad (NCR) earlier. He has a rich experience of hundreds of basic endourological surgeries (URS, PCNL, TURP, TURBT, OIU), all kinds of urethroplasties for urethral strictures, female urology (stress incontinence surgeries, mesh repair of prolapsed, colpopexy etc), pediatric urological surgeries ( hypospadias, undescended testis, pyeloplasty, posterior urethral valve, reflux, wilm’s tumor etc) & urological cancer surgeries ( renal, prostatic, urinary bladder cancers). His special interests include advanced laparoscopic urological surgeries which are otherwise not performed routinely in Rajasthan as yet including difficult nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteric reimplantation, laparoscopic VVF repair, pediatric laparoscopic surgeries & laparoscopic surgeries for urological cancers like radical cystectomy, radical prostatectomy & partial nephrectomy also. He has been instrumental in starting Kidney Transplant Programme at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur & was the leader of Team & Chief Transplant Surgeon who performed first Kidney Transplant here on 28th Nov 2013.
He performed Donor Kidney retrieval by retroperitoneoscopic Laparoscopic route which is first ever in Rajasthan & performed at very selected centres in India. He is now successfully doing Kidney transplantation on a regular basis with laparoscopic surgery of the donor in all simple or difficult cases. He has an experience of more than 500 kidney transplantation with laparoscopic harvesting of donor kidneys i.e. laparoscopic donor nephrectomy. He has performed many first in Rajasthan surgeries over the last few years like single port laparoscopic nephrectomy, scarless laparoscopic nephrectomy with vaginal retrieval, Laparoscopic pyeloplasty in 3 months old baby, Vesicoscopic Ureteric reimplanataion in children, Cystoscopic Deflux correction of vesicoureteric Reflux in children and Radical Nephrectomy with level 3 IVC thrombectomy.
He is equally involved in academics & leaves no stone unturned to fine tune his skills further. He has been invited at various conferences & workshops as Chairperson for session moderation as well as operating faculty to demonstrate surgical procedures like North Zone conference of Urological Association of India at Jodhpur (2014), Pediatric VUR Workshop At J K Lon Hospital, (Jaipur 2015) to name a few.
